LAUREN MEDNICK
Founder and Executive Director
Lauren founded Elm City Internationals in 2008. She was inspired by her experiences teaching in rural Ecuador, working with refugee students in Denmark, teaching and coaching soccer to refugee students in New Haven, and also by having attended New Haven Public Schools through middle school and a private college preparatory high school and seeing the disparities between the two.
Lauren received her BA from Mount Holyoke College in psychology and her MA degree from New York University in International Education Policy.

Coach Rob
Head Soccer Coach, Head Mentor
Coach Rob grew up playing soccer "on the streets of Brazil". He grew up around the sport helping his dad coach in the state of Sao Paulo Brazil. Not only does Coach Rob have a passion for the art of the sport, but more importantly has a passion for inspiring each of his players through the sport.
